Online Services

While regular in person services are resuming soon, online services and Sunday School classes are still being posted. We hope to continue the video recording and online posting of the sermon portion of the service. Our video services are currently hosted on a Youtube channel registered to the church.

Worldwide broadcast of copyrighted music that we are allowed to use, and do use, during a normal “in person “service is strictly prohibited by the Youtube user agreement, whether or not we purchase or have a copywrited music licence for the Church, it’s Youtube’s hosting service so it’s their rules. There are also liabilities and restrictions of broadcasting images of any children below the age of majority without releases from all legal guardians involved. These and other issues will prevent us from recording most of the newer music and the children’s services for rebroadcast, but we hope to continue the sermon portion.

There will also be a delay involved from the time of a live service until the availability of the recording. Many people do not realize that our recordings for our services were done on Tuesdays for Wednesday night and Thursdays for Sunday mornings. The video processing and uploading time for each hour of video can take up to 15 hours to get on the website if it goes perfectly, many times it doesn’t go that way. Most of the uploading goes on overnight when the DSL lines in Garfield have less traffic on them. If we record a Sunday service it may be Monday or Tuesday before that video is posted online for viewing depending on how that process goes.
