Piano Dedication

The piano donated by Shelia Vertrees Webb was transported to the Church on Saturday May 22. It was Shelia’s wish that the piano be given to the Church and it was dedicated on Sunday May 23 during the morning worship service. Her daughter Camilla was present to affix the dedication label to the instrument and several family members were in attendance for a group photo. Our congregation is fortunate to receive this gift and although Shelia is no longer with us physically in our meetings or services we are reminded of her love for her friends, her family, her church, and her God on this occasion.

The photos below were taken during the morning worship service and some of the piano being brought in and placed on Saturday by Dusenbury and Son Piano. The piano itself is a Howard – Kawai model 330C.

As can be seen in the photos below of moving the piano into the building Mr. Dusenbury had the proper equipment to handle the instrument efficiently and was able to transport it into place with only the help of his son. Temperature was close to 90 degrees so they were a little warm during the process. The estimated weight is 550 pounds. No scratches to the piano or the church facilities occurred.
